Marvel Studios and Disney’s’ Deadpool and Wolverine ‘have broken another record. The film has surpassed ‘Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4′ to become the best-selling first week for an R-rated film on a domestic digital platform.
The action superhero comedy, directed by Shawn Levy, released digitally on October 1. Earlier, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s film remained in the top 10 at the weekly box office for eleven consecutive weeks. Last week, it grossed $2.1 million at 1,605 locations, taking its total to $634.4 million, making it the second-highest-grossing film globally. In the first place is Disney’s’ Inside Out 2 ‘, which has earned $1.69 billion globally and’ Deadpool and Wolverine ‘has made a turnover of $1.33 billion.
The film will come out on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 22. However, Disney + is yet to officially announce when the action comedy will stream.
