Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) Ltd, a prominent player in the automotive sector, announced on Tuesday that its domestic sales of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) experienced a remarkable increase of 24 percent, reaching 51,062 units in September compared to the same month last year. The company reported a total of 41,267 SUVs sold in the domestic market for September 2023, as stated in their official communication.
Overall sales, which encompass commercial vehicles (CVs) and three-wheelers, amounted to 87,839 units in the preceding month, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 16 percent. The company disclosed that it sold 36,777 CVs and three-wheelers last month, including 3,027 units in international markets. Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd, remarked, “We sold 51,062 SUVs in September, marking a growth of 24 percent, and a total of 87,839 vehicles, representing a growth of 16 percent.
As we approach the festive season of Navratri, we are excited to announce the opening of bookings for the highly anticipated Thar RoXX on October 3.”
