Tokyo Paralympics gold medallist Avani Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Standing event after training at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal.
She is the second para-Olympian after javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia to win two gold medals. Para Olympians brought glory to India on the world stage, this shows their passion and love for the country away from politics.
